The Presbyterian Women's group is composed of all ages within the Presbytery of Santa Fe who choose to; participate in, or be supportive of the PWP in any way. Our purpose is fourfold:
- to nuture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
- to support the mission of the church worldwide,
- to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive and caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA), and
- witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.
We contribute money towards Menual School, Martineztown House of Neighborly Service, Angel Tree of SOTV, and Youth group of SOTV. We also donate money to the Synod Hunger Fund, Fellowship of the Least Coin, and the Leprosy Fund. Each member is asked to contribute time assisting at the Salas Luncheon at Martineztown and various other functions. Two of our members represent the Presbyterian Women of Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church at the larger organization of Church Women United.
Our meetings are held the third Thursday of each month beginning promptly at 12:30 with time to enjoy a dessert and coffee until 12:40 when the business meeting begins, followed by the Bible study. We dismiss no later than 2:30 pm.
We meet in the portable and welcome all women of the congregation. God has richly blessed us this year with several new members.
