Come join us for fun, great food and fellowship. We are divided into groups of eight (approximately). This past season, we had five groups, so we are growing in number. We meet for dinner once a month in the home of one of our group for four months. During the fifth month, all of the groups come together for dinner at Quarters. This is a great way to get better acquainted with other people in the church. Sign-ups are in the Gathering Space, so sign-up now for your “spot at the dinner table.” Questions: call Bob & Kay Campbell at 828-1085. - Ladies Out-to-Lunch Bunch meets the second Monday of the month. Come for fellowship, fun, and food! Reservations: call Lynn Chavez at 350-9675.
- Men’s Luncheon is the fourth Wednesday of the month at Steak and Ale at 2105-A Louisiana NE at noon.
- Project Linus: We meet the second Monday of the month in the Adult Class Room. Project Linus is dedicated to providing love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, hand-made blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.” We have made 2,380 blankets. For more information, contact Betty Jo at 898-8385.
- TLC Team gives “tender loving care” to the members and friends of SOTV. We have a call tree to check on those who live alone or would like daily contact with someone from the church. If you would like to receive a call or would like to be a caller, call Ruth at 249-1575. Please use the cards in the pews to let us know your needs, fill out and place in offering plate. .
- “Are You Hard of Hearing?” The trustees are going to be ordering more receivers for our sound system. These receivers help people with hearing difficulties because they can amplify the sound. If you would like to use one (or if you would like to buy your own personal unit - $95.00) please tell Wess Caldwell or Glenn Folkins so we will know how many to order. We currently have 5 units.
