Not long ago one of the unique groups in our music ministry was the SOTV Ring Team, the handbell choir of the church. Over the years this intergenerational bell choir has had many church members bring joyful English handbell ringing to Sunday worship and annual Christmas concerts. Unfortunately, this choir has fallen to the wayside as members have moved on to other ministries or graduated from high school and moved on to new adventures. I am looking for a "few good ding-a-lings" who would like to revive this ministry! I need at least 6 people (mid-hi and older are welcome) who would venture into an ensemble that makes beautiful music and delightful friends. Another area of ministry I am interested in growing is our Children’s Choir. Presently, we only practice on Sunday mornings with singing before Christian Growth time. It would be wonderful to start a more consistent music program with a focus on regular participation in worship. I am looking for children and volunteers to help with getting such a program off the ground! If you think you would like to be part of a fun children’s music program, please contact me! And a reminder -- the Children’s Choir will be singing for Christmas Eve at the early Family Service, so practices will start in November!
