I am very blessed to be part of this awesome and amazing mission team. During this week we’ll do a great amount of hard work, meet new people and explore the city of Nashville. We hope to listen to people’s stories while we share our stories of life and faith with each other.
Westminster Presbyterian Church (WPC) hostess Mary and Toni welcomed us on Sunday afternoon, and our own Steve Kotz took us out to Nashville Downtown where we had supper at a local restaurant. The warm hospitality of the Tennessee residents was well represented by our friend and waiter Victor. Ask our youth about Vic and they will tell you all about it!
Walking on the streets of Downtown Nashville was a great experience and we had a chance to stretch our legs and to enjoy the Music City.
We are sharing the WPC’s facilities with two other mission teams from the Ozarka Missouri area.
My hope is that time may allow our youth to share some words about their experience here in Nashville.
Here is a link of Jan Richardson, a Methodist Pastor, writer and artist, who has a lectionary blog of art, reflections, and more… that we hope you can read along with us while we work here in Nashville TN. http://paintedprayerbook.com/
Our first devotional starts with a reading based on the Lectionary for the Easter Season. Find it here: http://paintedprayerbook.com/2011/04/20/easter-sunday-risen/
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers.
Grace and Peace.
